Review: Once Upon a Rebel Fairytale

Once Upon a Rebel Fairytale Once Upon a Rebel Fairytale by Jamie Campbell
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

This book is a unique retelling of the favourite fairytale Red Riding Hood. This book captures the essence of the original tale as well as the darkness of the tale. I enjoyed reading this book and would recommend it to anyone who is a fan of fairytale retellings.

I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Review: City of the Sleeping Gods

City of the Sleeping Gods City of the Sleeping Gods by Olivia Ash
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Wow, I wasn't sure what to expect from this book, but I was surprised how much I enjoyed this book. I loved how all the separate relationships developed and how their relationship as a group grew and flourished to make them a family. This was a book of unexpected surprises and secrets that you don't see coming and that keeps you guessing and wanting more. I look forward to what secrets will be revealed in the next book.

Beautiful, Amazing and Funny

I absolutely loved this book. It was the perfect sequel for Red Rope of Fate. I simply could not put it down. It is very different from the 1st book but still a beautiful story of overcoming differences and discovering a surprising and unexpected love. I cannot wait for more of the Elves of Lessa.

Review: Nobody Does It Better

Nobody Does It Better Nobody Does It Better by Lexi Blake
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Loved this book. So different for all the other books in the series. Kayla tells the truth about absolutely everything in her life expect for that one thing she can't tell him. I could not put it down, this book just pulls you in and captures your heart and soul. We see some of our favourites return and meet the man you can shut down Ian's sarcasm... shock. We get to read about Jared and what he has been up to, hopefully we can see more from him in the future. We are going to be getting more of Bliss, yay, been waiting for more from Serena little unplanned getaway. So excited for more. Keep them coming Lexi.

I really loved this book. You can see how over time the interaction between all the characters develops into unique relationships. When her curse is discovered by her peers you feel sad and scared for her. This book was really good and I cannot wait to read the next book and she what develops.

A story of redemption. This was a beautiful if sorrowful tale of redemption for both our Hero and Heroine. This story tells us that you can do everything possible to right a wrong but all actions have consequences. A love story that blooms in adversity.

This was a very interesting story, varied quite a lot from Bree's series. Her mother's ghost trying to protect her from the gods who gave her her powers is mysterious and frightening. What does being the Druid mean???

Review: Death Doesn't Bargain

Death Doesn't Bargain Death Doesn't Bargain by Sherrilyn Kenyon
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Amazing, what a cliffhanger. However, I enjoyed the first one more, I felt as if this one was rushing forwards to quickly with lots of jumping to new developments. Still, a great story, so many secrets revealed that affect the main series. Also anyone else get the feeling that Savitar might be Acheron's dad... just a hunch. Also big surprise with Thorn, he is Married to Bridget! what a shock, never would have expected that. I love it, read as fast as possible.

Review: The Darkest Promise

The Darkest Promise The Darkest Promise by Gena Showalter
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

My MY, Finally we have the box and we know what is going on. Misery is no more, Hera is public enemy No 1 and a knock out drag down battle between Lucifer and Hades is happening next. All the Lords are now happily mated, except of course Galen, but we all know he is obsessed with Honey. William is a mess as he cannot find Gillian and who is this mystery woman Siobhan peaks of the only one OTHER than Gilly to make him happy?????
Also I will be so PISSED if Gena keeps Gilly and William apart, I know Gilly thinks her husband is hot but William all the way.

Fatal Chaos Fatal Chaos by Marie Force
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

So emotionally heart wrenching. This book pulls at the heartstrings; Marie Force has created an amazing story that keeps you guessing from page 1. You simply cannot put the book down for fear of missing a piece of the many puzzles. This book contains everything for a potential Presidency, possible pregnancy, reconciliation of our two favourite side characters, possible love match between our other two favourite side characters and horribly senseless deaths. Marie Force has another best seller.
